The Clearfield-Jefferson Drug and Alcohol Commission’s Administrative Unit is responsible for assessing, planning, and funding alcohol and other drug programs in Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.  This includes oversight of fiscal and operation budgets of the Commission.  The Commission receives funding from the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, the Department of Public Welfare, the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Counties of Clearfield and Jefferson and various other state and federal grants and awards.

Case Management

The Case Management Unit provides services and assistance to residents of Clearfield and Jefferson Counties to facilitate alcohol and other drug treatment and recovery.  The Case Management Unit provides Level of Care Assessments and Case Coordination services.

Medication Assisted Treatment

MAT is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.  Research shows that when treating substance use disorders, a combination of medication and behavioral therapies is most successful.

Prevention programming aids in promoting a high level of wellness in individuals of all ages.  Drug abuse prevention involves developing life-coping skills and attitudes that result in behaviors to enhance and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program is designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success.   The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) is to help students overcome these barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance.

Rural Health Outreach/Hepatitis C

The Rural Health Outreach Program facilitates the Hepatitis C Screening Program through the Commission.  Screening services for Hepatitis C include education, outreach and case coordination in addition to blood screens for Hepatitis C Antibodies.

Drug Free Communities

The Drug Free Communities Coalition is a collaborative group of individuals from Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.  The purpose of the Coalition is to reduce substance abuse among youth, through assessment of need, building community capacity, planning for targeted services, implementation of activities that will have a direct effect on youth and evaluation of those activities and programs.
